I was overjoyed last week when I received this email:
"On behalf of Google, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Google For Education Certified Trainer Program! After reviewing your application, we believe that you have the experience and passion necessary to positively impact education by helping teachers transform teaching and learning with technology."
For this program I had to submit a few things... a case study, a certificate from the online course and a video explaining who I am and then moving on to teaching a skill.
Here is my video for those of you who would like to see it:
I am more than excited to be able to be a part of this program and am looking forward to all the things I can learn and add to my knowledge!
Signing out... with my cool new name tag! Link here.

Kia ora Kelsey,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! What a fabulous next step to be taking! The learners and teachers you work with are already so lucky with the depth of knowledge and commitment you bring to your role, and this new journey will only add to that, I'm sure! Your video was so interesting - I really enjoyed the way you created a really visual set of slides to guide us through your journey, rather than just talking to them. I especially enjoyed your Kelsey bitmoji and the way she went busily from school to school, which I know you do, helping all your teachers and learners! Thanks for the great tip with the curve tool as well - I've never thought of using it like that!
I'll be interested to hear more about this from you next time we can chat. What's your next step?
Good luck on the next phase of the journey,
Amie
Kia ora Amy,
DeleteThanks so much! Sorry for my slow reply.
The video was a lot of fun to create. Oh cool, the curve tool is a really great one. Glad you got something out of watching it haha!
I think a face to face will be great in the future - hopefully the end of term Hui goes ahead.
I signed up to do the second Hapara course, but time has been really tight and I haven't been able to apply myself unfortunately.
Thanks so much!
- Kelsey
